Contemporary Rural Courtyard

The crisp contemporary lines of sawn sandstone, clipped box, yew and pleached hornbeam form the structure to this contemporary courtyard garden, whilst perennials and grasses introduce a softer feel bringing texture, movement and light.  An L-shaped rill edged with Iris sibirica creates distinct areas within the courtyard.  Stepping stones over the rill lead to a bench and to the main seating area enclosed with lavender and olive trees.
