Tranquil Courtyard

A sense of calm and tranquility has been created in this courtyard in the centre of a bustling market town.  The sight and sounds of trickling water flowing down the intricate Clover water feature by Steel Sculptures are enjoyed from both the kitchen and when seated on the bespoke cedar bench in front of it.  The courtyard is filled with the fragrance from Trachelospermum and Pittosporum tobira Nanum during the summer months and the sweet smells of Sarcoccoca in the winter.  Grasses waft around bring movement and texture to the space.  Herbs growing in planters are close to hand for cooking and a low bespoke table set on wheels provides a flexible space for entertaining friends and family. The space is transformed at night with twinkling fairy lights on a T-washed steel pergola and the subtle lighting of the water feature and planting.
