In 2007, the Society of Garden Designers awarded Sue Townsend full membership (MSGD) in recognition of her design skills, plant knowledge and professionalism – a title held by only 200 garden designers in the country.

Sue has won numerous garden design national awards – SGD 2014 Award for Planting Design, SGD 2014 Award for Small Residential Garden, SGD 2017 Award for Garden Jewel, SGD 2020 inaugural Beth Chatto Award, SGD 2020 Small Budget, Big Impact Award. In 2019 she became a registered member of the British Association of Landscape Industries, BALI and won a BALI national award in the same year.
